Having trouble controlling my levels, but I feel that the fact I have a hiatus hernia and I.B.S. Hello doug.
Illness , infection, antibiotics can all impact on your blood sugar levels plus stress too.
Given repeated courses of antibiotics can make things harder for you to get your levels lower .
The I.B.S flare ups too will impact on these too !
No wonder you are fed up
Can you try writing a list of all of this , take a family member or a friend along with you ?
Next time you see your DSN or GP or Diabetes Specialist and go through the list with them ?
They have to hear your raised points of concern - try saying this to them ...
Usually when you go in with a tactical approach - it is seen as 'more' proactive and they have to
address this differently .
Like halli says above - address exactly how things are and 'ask' what help and options are available
to improve things for you.
If you take someone with you as moral support too it can help immensley especially if nervous or
unsure of remembering what you wish/need to say .

I also have IBS with diabetes type 2.. and raynauds disease, underactive thyroid, depression and many more. I find any upset to one illness affects the IBS and the glucose levels.
Being type 2 makes it easier because I don't have to calculate treatment. But its not a lot of fun and I do have off days but long term glucose isnt affected so I just deal with day to day symptoms.
