I am having trouble with me BG in the morning, I have read about the dawn phenomenon but my levels are all over the place. I am not eating before going to bed and my readings range from 6.2 - 7.5 - 6.5 and this morning 8.9
What I am noticing is that if I wake up cold my levels were reading in the 6's but if I wake up really hot and sweaty its higher. The level stays high until I eat something. Because I start work at 5am I don't eat until about 8.30 and my levels aren't dropping too the 5's until about 11am. I know everyone is different but can anyone help shed any light on this ?
I am testing all the time with different foods but still keeping a low carb diet, what am I doing wrong ?

PS...Will my fingers stop hurting soon !! haha

I wont say that going from 6 to 8 is not to bad, not great but not to bad. Try going to be a 7 and waking up at 13-14. You say you have read about DP it is probably this. You would want to do some through the night testing to see when your BG is rising. I too start work early no 5am but 6 or 7 and find my BG has normally risen funnily enough the past few days i have started at 9am and my BG seems to be ok. If it is DP your not doing anything wrong its just how your body works.

My levels are all over the place and I have cut all bad stuff out and there's still no pattern to anything. I am testing all the time and I am now getting totally stressed out. I eat a small amount of cheese and my levels rise, I have yogurt and it gets higher...... starting to wonder why im doing this, I don't understand what's happening.

Well, stress can raise your blood sugar! Also being in the heat. So relax and keep cool. :cyclops:
