Just reading through, and I know it sounds stupid, but if you are altering your bolus after your readings-the bolus chage won't take effect until the next day?
I was advised the following: If your levels go up (or down) 2-3 hours after eating then it is your bolus that needs to be changed......
Me personally, if I alter my bolus, I will also alter my basal slightly too.....
I just believe that I was set up to workl on a 50/50 ratio of bolus and basal.......(are your levels running at this?)..So, if I have to adjust my bolus ratio up 1, then I will adjust my basal to run higher a little bit too..... and reverse if I have to lower either of my rates...if I have to alter one, then I will alter both by mnimal doses to keep my ratio's within the 50/50 ratio.
If you have questions about what you are doing and what is happening with your levels, have you contacted your DSN?
Have you done any basal testing?
Have you a different profile for holidays? When less active?
I am probably asking questions that you have already thought about, but here we can only give our own experiences, as we are not HCP's. Some great advice here, but if you are really concerned about altering your basals and bolus, or acting times, carb ratio's etc, then you must also let your HCP's know.....
