Morning highs

Hello All

I've been experiencing morning highs ranging from 7.6- 11 and was then put on 5 units Levemir at night. (I also thake 3 x 500 Metformin RX at night.) The waking readings looks much better now (highest 6.6) but I have noticed a jump in levels between my waking reading and before breakfast (anything between 8 and 10) before I even has anything to eat. :***:

Just wondering why this is happening and what I can do to avoid this.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Just saw the thread on the Dawn Phenomenon. Guess I'll have to try a few things and see what works for me.
