Can someone explain more about the morning liver dump that gets referred to on here, please. I sometimes experience being a little thirsty and tired when I wake up although this is soon shaken off when I get up. I have wondered if I am experiencing a mild liver dump and whether I can use this (because I don't always feel it) to work out what foods might not be quite so great.

Your body has a sugar store and if you don't eat for a while it releases some of this store via the liver. This is essential since if you run out of blood sugar totally you die. It doesn't usually come with symptoms as far as I know and is a perfectly natural thing and can happen several times a day if you miss meals.

So this would be a good thing then, as you try and lose weight. I have noticed that since I have been doing my weight loss and low carbing I have had some very long wees, especially in the morning (sorry to be so graphic) and I was wondering if this was connected to liver dump. It is more likely that it is due to increased water drinking.

Long/frequent wees can be due to a number of things. Simply losing weight releases the water that was once part of the fat. Polyuria is a condition where the body produces water while it is trying to flush the sugar out. Autonomic neuropathy can cause your bladder to "not fully empty" so you need to visit the loo more often or you could just be drinking a lot.

One way or another I think you are going to be visiting the loo more often in the future.

There is no direct connection between the liver dump and weeing a lot. The liver dump just happens to stop you going hypo and is perfectly natural.
