Hi,
I got diagnosed with diabetes 10 months ago. My score was 52 and the dr said I should be able to get it into remission. I did a lot of reading(100’s hours). I did lots things that are recommended by various groups and got my next set of results down to 38.
I haven’t ever really tested my morning bloods at home, I tested before and after meals to see how my adjustments were working.
I was told 2 months ago my cholesterol is still high and that I need to bring it down some more, so I have been adjusting my diet again. I have added fairly big portions of oats with artificial sweeteners. I checked my blood sugars the last to mornings as wanted to check if my evening oats were causing any spikes. First thing both mornings my results were 6.1 mmol/L. However if I wait an hour or so, without eating or drinking anything (no water) they drop to 4.5.
Could this be morning phenomena? If so do I need to worry about the levels, they seem fairly low and even the spike is only just out of the recommended 5.6 mmol/L.
Would like to hear other people opinions?
Thanks for reading
