Not being able to eat deserts :)
Hi, trying for an operation and preop tests are in the mornings. My readings in Freestyle Lite are typically between 5-6 however readings first thing in the morning as high as 8. Any thoughts on foods to eat / not eat that might help control morning readings better? I gather this may result from slow release of glucose from the liver which I understand can act as a store. Any advice gratefully received. I get a 1c test next week for my average.
Regards
Jeremy

You could try scrabbled eggs, good luck with the operation!
