Morning everyone I hope you are all safe.
I've started insulin for my diabetes type 2 last month and I'm trying to get my bloods down from a average last month of 22 at the moment it's 9.3 at average and I'm happy. I've been testing in the mornings at around 7 to mid 8s now today after being good and cutting so much back on my calorie intake my bloods at 7am were 9.9. Can anyone tell me why it could have spiked so high?

So you've mention calories but have you reduced your carb intake?

Nothing can really be guessed unless you took a reading before you went to bed last night as if you didn't then who knows where it was then

Also meals can be issue depending on fat content for instance, and most of all, you haven't stated what insulin you are using, there are many different types of insulin which work in very different ways
xx
