Morning readings

Yesterday I was told my Hbaic of 49 was not low enough and must take additional medication to Metformin. Not happy so been told must have another Hbaic in 2 weeks. Did my test at 11 pm 6.4 got up this morning 7.8 nothing to eat in between. Why are my morning reading so high? Also don't get to see my doctor now, speak to DN and she emails him. After 16 years of being diabetic and losing 3.5 stone feel like giving up
 
Morning reading is because of a liver dump. 49 is pretty good. No way would I do that (more meds) unless the numbers have been creeping up. What's the trend?

Hi Mike last one a month ago was 60 took me off Pioglixide because of weight gain approx 3 weeks ago DN says lower reading due to medication not the fact I have been careful
