So you only eat one meal a day, no snacking?
That's your LCHF diet as well as the bloggers?
And looking at the guy, 1800 to 2000 calories is definitely a calorie restricted diet, you reckon that's the way to go as well?
I have to admit, any calorie restricted diet will always work, so I agree with you on that.

I am not looking to lose weight-the lady in the link was. I am looking to control BG I am a diabetic-hence the low carb high fat diet. Protein raises blood glucose-hence I keep it to reasonable levels-fat does not-and is essential for life-carbs are not.

Moved on, your second blogger, tommy, he's on a calorie restricted diet as well.

"he's on a calorie restricted diet as well"

I eat when I am hungry-calories mean nothing to me-carbs-everything.

“The Power of love” has been the title of many songs by various artists. The Power of Love song in the weight loss video-was the song by the band Frankie Goes To Hollywood.

If anyone is considering that amount of exercise, it is probably best to do something which has a lower impact on the joints. People who jog a lot can end up with various arthritic type problems and those who start when they are very heavy are putting a lot of stress on complex structures such as the ankles. Low impact exercise, swimming, cycling, rowing or even Tai Chi is safer. The problem with ankles, knees etc is that small injuries now rear their ugly heads in 30 years time, mostly as osteoarthritis. Even walking in the hills on steep paths is best done with the aid of things lke trekking sticks to avoid potential problems like water on the knee.

"Seems though that arthritis may be more related to BMI or trauma than running"

Good point-if you weigh 400 lb plus-it can play havoc with your joints running a marathon.

That's what I meant. The woman in the video started running at 230 lbs and that is a lot of strain. As the article that phoenix cites states, runners weigh less than walkers and walkers less than people who are inactive. If you get someone who is inactive suddenlyt running, there is a risk.

Actually, I know a number of people from my mountaineering days who clattered down from summits and subjected their knees to 5 or 6 hours of shock absorbing.

Even fit athletic types find it punishing on the knees and have the decency to drop the 'fun run' description in favour of a more realistic description:

Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run
