Thanks Admin much better now, the force refresh CTRL and F5 wasn't moving it to the right hand side this morning so i assume the techies have been fiddling with code to make it work in various browsers!

Hey Carty to force refresh hold down CTRL and hit F5 several times (whilst still holding CTRL) this will clear your cache, get the website to talk to the server and present back any new updates/changes that have been made. Until you do this you may experince problems with new programmed features (such as the Most Popular addition) as your computer stores a version of the site in order to improve speed etc, this version may not feature the new additions. Hope that makes sense

Hey Admin!

Is there any way to switch off the new 'feature' when you're not logged in? I find it pretty annoying and have switched it off when logged in, but I often use the forum without logging in (sneaky read at work and all that  ). There is no arrow when not logged in, so I can't switch it off - and there it is on my screen flashing away, big advert for something or other and advertising the fact I'm doing non work-related stuff :shh: Is there any point to it? Could it be off by default and switch it on if you like it? Or is it just there to force the adverts for commercial purposes?

Ok, I'm annoyed now - it's back down the bottom of the browser (Chrome) which means each page is twice as long and you have to scroll all the way do to find the quick reply button.

Can we PLEASE turn it off !

(and no, I don't want any helpful suggestions about F5 or otherwise - I spend all day in a computer company and have no wish to fault find in my evenings)

Same with my page view too!{sigh} very long winded affair..

Hi guys - can you press Ctrl + F5 and see if it still happens? We can't replicate the error so think it's probably in the cache on the PC you're using?

erm - did I mention I was annoyed

Admin, that doesn't fix it - and it happens on all 3 of my machines in Chrome. The advert is below the last post on the page and there is no arrow. Without posting my CV I do know PCs quite well  - looks like it's a compatibility issue at least with Chrome. Do we really have to have it there??

PLEASE just go back to how it was before.....

@Swimmer2 - reason for asking is we use Chrome in the office + we see it fine. Can you post a screenshot here or send one to info@diabetes.co.uk?

@daisy1 - we can, however, we need to figure out where the error is occurring first + foremost.

I'm having the same problem with Chrome and Explorer.

It seems fine on Firefox, but I do occasionally use Chrome, but after reading this think I will avoid chrome for a while, until this is sorted out. I'm still not all together sure of the purpose of this, but hey ho!

As most posters seem to want to get rid of these and no one has said they like them why not just bin the idea .Is money involved?
CAROL

I can't believe I'm doing this because I could be on my way home to my wife and dinner, but here's your screen shot..

Hi All...
Me too , please can we go back to how it was set originally, its tooooooo lonnnnnng to scroll down
and page wastes plus reduces in width too, in my veiw.
Far prefer the old style...
Dont like this way at all.
Anna.

We're on the case. Apologies. We're trying a few more things and if they fail, we'll retract it whilst we sort it out.

@carty - nope, no money involved. We have plans for the Diabetes Forum (apps, offers first to forum, etc) and in order to do this we want to use the right hand column.

OK tried - something - still getting the same problem?
