mouthwash clue to type 2 causes

Type of diabetes
Type 2
If it is true that type 2 may be linked to use of mouthwashes because of mouthwash effects on mouth bacteria, it may actually be a much bigger clue to possible causes generically.

For example it may be that other habits may limit bacteria effectiveness in enabling pancreas functioning

I understand that the same mouthwash may be increasing obesity alongside type so maybe this is the real reason that obesity and type 2 are correlated.

There needs to be funding for research to investigate this.

If lack of bacterial effectiveness is responsible then maybe there are other reasons in terms of diet why bacterial effectiveness is reduced. Could it be that eating too fast means bacterial effectiveness is reduced?

That is the trouble with research. Correlation does not mean causation. I have read of research correlating gum disease with CVD. So what are we as lay people to decide?

Welcome to the forum, great first comment btw.
