So you've all heard of DP (Dawn Phenomenon) when you irritatingly wake up with higher BG's than when you go to bed but I'm now convinced I've got a new one called MP (Monday Phenomenon).

This doesn't bother me in the slightest but more intrigues me. Since my BG's started to stabilise they have taken to being consistently worse by on average around 1 mmol/l on Mondays and then get better for the rest of the week. Don't on average do anything different on a Monday as I would do on any other working day.

Go on tell me why and does anyone else notice the same thing?

I think it may be related to subconscious stress. A lot of people just don't sleep well on a Sunday night because of work/school the next day after the weekend and I think that may become ingrained within us without our consciously realising it.
