I'm type one atleast 6 or 7 months now and late at night i've started to have snacks and get the urge to just eat eat eat.

Anyone give me advice on what to do?
Anyone been through this before?

I eat anything and everything, although i do inject, whatever is lying around i'l eat it and its only at night time this happens. Around 10-12 at night.

Thanks in advance.

Aaron.

I don't snack between meals and just stick to the 3 main meals as a rule but will snack on a banana when I'm exercising, it might just be that your not eating enough calories with your main meals Aaron, you should discuss this with your HCP who should be able to advise you further.

Just be careful snacking and injecting insulin so late at night as the potential to go hypo in your sleep is very real, some QA insulin's can be active up to 5 hours after injecting so it's worth keeping this in mind.

Hi

Are you checking your blood sugar levels when you are feeling hungry? Sometimes hunger can be a sign of blood sugar levels dropping, especially if this is happening at the same time every day.
