Hi all, i recently diagnosed as type 1 back in end of March 2016. Dr put me on the long acting insulin - insulatard, i need to inject 2 times per day (6 in morning and 5 before dinner). My morning reading has a massive improvement (normally around 13mmol, but now is c.6.8mmol). My questions are a) my BG level goes crazy after lunch n dinner (highest go up to 18mmol, avg c.13mmol after meal) - do you think i need to introduce the fast acting one too? And if this is normal to go up that high after injected the long acting insulin? B) injecting 10ml of insulin per day, is that high?! Sometime i injected up to 14ml, it i going to eat something bad.
Thanks....
