I went to the Docs today to take my little boy for visit ( he is all good), whilst there he asked how I was doing and I told him i feel great, on a low carb diet, sugars levels have come down etc and I have lost 8lbs in just under 2 weeks. Showed him my iPhone bg star app graphs (he was impressed) so asked the question about test strips on prescription and he said wait till Wednesday (seeing Diabetec nurse) and she will sort me out with them, so I will be getting the strips for free as he was impressed with my record keeping and reasons for taking readings before and after meals and my determination to get it under control.
