Hi,
I just wanted to let everyone know that it's my 52nd birthday today and my first as a Type 2 Insulin Dependent Diabetic. I know that this year I won't get to blow out any candles on a cake or celebrate with a birthday Buffett thrown by my family ( for a start nearly everyone is either on holiday or flying off today lol) but that's ok. My mum brought me a lovely big bunch of flowers yesterday which I love plus they last longer than cake.
So today will be different but in a good way. I'm really into 0% fat Greek Yogurt with a little spoon of honey, so I will treat myself to that today.
I just wanted to know how everyone else celebrated their first birthday as an insulin dependant Diabetic. Have a wonderful say my fellow diabetics.

I'm not insulin-dependent, so can't give you a meaningful answer but I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday, and many more of them. :)

Happy Birthday @FrancescaN

Usually celebrate with a meal out (Italian) and a few glasses of booze

Hope you have a pleasant day

Do have a wonderful birthday @FrancescaN , don't recall my first birthday with diabetes at all, too long ago.
