my first day on Insulin

I promised I would come back on to let everyone know how I got on, and also to thank so many of you who gave me great advice.

Am on Levemir once a day until next week, and then twice a day, as my levels were so high, thay want my body to get used to a lower bg reading.

If after a few weeks im not responding adequately to the regime, they will add Novorapid to take with meals ect.

So looking forward to feeling better, and no more wading through treacle eh...

Glad you're on the insulin. I'm sure you'll start to feel better soon. It's not nearly as bad as you might think!

Hope you are feeling much better soon, What a good idea, doing it gradually with the Basal first. Like you say it will drop you gradually at first and you will adjust to this before bringing out the big guns :lol:
Levemir is a great insulin...a good smooth profile, I'm sure you will get on with it.
