Been diabetic for 21yrs. How do I feel about it, well I'll tell you. To the monster inside me, be my friend and my enemy, wherever I am you are with me so walk with me, let's take this crazy trip together. Break me and I'll get back up so don't ever try and beat me cos u my friend will lose.

THE "TYPE 2" DRAGON

Although I have searched, I cannot yet see
The dragon, in side, that rules, the real me

It smokes, and it smoulders, but always is there
A bit, like a lion, awaiting me, in its lair

It rules, what, I eat, (maybe fresh air)
Sometimes, I think, What do I care

Constant, carb counting, should, I forget
My BG levels, I know, l'll regret

All of my, favourites, now, they, are gone
Like long, lost, love, its time to, move on

What will, the future, hold for me
Runious eyesisght, or an amputee

If I don't, tame the dragon, keep it at bay
From, heart disease, I'll perish, and pass, away

I've, tried, to bargain, Its not listening, to me
So now, I'm, a diabetic, that's, the future, for me

I didn't, want, a dragon, I didn't, ask, for it
Sometimes, I wake up, feeling like, shiit.

I guess, that a dragon, is part, of old age
Its not, what, I asked for, something, with rage

I'll, bargain, with the dragon, but we'll have, to see
I'll, keep watch, over my shoulder, in case it, burns me
