My glucometer Betachek C50 just arrived. Yikes, I hope I get the hang of it.

I've been relying on a Libre 2 plus CGM alone to check my glucose levels and trends, because I could never get blood for a successful finger prick test. But realising its shortcomings, and that it could be very misleading, I finally bit the bullet and looked for what seemed to be the most idiot-proof but accurate glucometer. I chose Betachek C50 because it has test strips and lancing device built into a cassette. Looking at the instructions, maybe not as idiot-proof as I'd hoped, but I will try to understand it before I set out and report back with my experiences. Any tips from Betachek C50 users much appreciated.

No experience with it, but best of luck! I saw your libre/LO posts the other day and kept my fingers crossed you'd find a fingerprick monitor that works for you x

@saucequery Thanks. I have a love-hate relationship with the Libre. There is huge room for improvement on accuracy. On the other hand, it is SO useful to follow trends, especially as factors other than food can cause glucose to spike. I haven't tried the meter yet.

youtube have a couple of videos on how to insert the lancing device alongside setting the time and date that might be easier? gl
