My high readings.

I'm type 2 and I inject twice daily with novomix 30 been doing fine untill the last week and now all my readings are high there between 16.1 right up to 24.9 I'm trying so hard to keep to low carb meals I've been told I can adjust my dosage so I'm now taking 20 units everytime I inject (morning and evening) but it seems to make no diff so any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm now obese due to other health issues and I really need to lose weight and get my levels down X many thanx lovely people xxx
 
A few years ago I was the same as you and was placed on an injection called victoza and that makes you feel full and helps you lose weight to and I'm a Type 2 Diabetic and injected with humilin M3 insulin twice a day but you might need to ask your diabetes nurse about it first though before you get the start the injections but it does help as I lost 8 stone in weight with it
 
Hi - sorry to hear you're having a hard time with high BGL's. Maybe a basal and bolus regime may be better suited for you than the mixed insulin? It may be a good idea to discuss with your doc. I'm on lantus for basal and apidra for bolus.
