My journey into BG Monitoring.

I would expect the Hba1c and T2 diabetes diagnosis are unfortunately accurate, so while it's worth a re-test at some point, let's not set expectations for a major miracle.

However I will say it looks like Zombiedude has pulled off a minor miracle with a very rapid turnaround to normal BGs via a fully committed LCHF diet change. Not everyone has the motivation or discipline to do what he has done, but I do wish that all diabetics were given this *information* at diagnosis, so they could have the option and decide for themselves.

No major miracle expected (but would be nice LOL).
I think yesterday was just a particularly good day.
This morning's BG reading was 6.1

But, like I say, I'll get a few days worth of numbers before I decide if I should pester the doctor or not.

And thanks for the compliments, I was only ever this determined once before and that was when I quit smoking.
I was about to become a dad and never wanted my children to ever see me with a cigarette in my hands.
So I quit, cold turkey and that was 9 years ago.

Well you have to live in hope.
Ahh well, at least you've managed to return to normal or near normal, if you count todays 6.1 am:happy:
Which has got to be good and much better than that HbA1c of 12.9
It's looking like your Diabetes has been caught really early, giving you the chance to recover, with all your hard work, to normal/near normal really quickly.
You should still take your readings to see your Doc who I'm sure will congratulate you :D
Absolutely!
Still learning what is good and bad, what spikes my BG and what doesn't. Early days but I feel pretty good about getting it so much lower than it was.
I find myself in competition with my food diary. Yesterday I had 30g of carbs. Today I aim for less!
I'm trying to be a more positive person.

I think you might be one of those lucky people who can all but return to normal if you see what I mean, like some of the people did on the Newcastle Diet and indeed @AndrewColvin
Keep up the dieting and eating right and you'll get there.;)
That would be nice.
But I will definitely stick with a healthy eating/exercising lifestyle from here on out regardless.
