My Last Two Weeks Readings....

Hi,

Early morning, as soon as I get up, my fasting blood sugar readings is around 150 mg/dl .
After 45 minutes of walk, before brake fast (would have taken only water), the reading is around 150 mg/dl

Then after 2 hours of break fast, the reading is around 170 mg/dl.

However, in the evening, say after 4 hrs of lunch, before walk reading is around 160 mg/dl.
And after evening walk, before dinner, reading is around 140 mg/dl

Night, after 2 hours of dinner, at bed time, reading is around 180 mg/dl.

Doctor has suggested me to monitor the same for 15 days before deciding on the Oral Medication.

Any guidance!

Hi CoolGuy. What type of things do you have for your meals and how much of it?
 
Am from India. So I have the following:

1. Morning around 7.30am, One Cup (appx.250ml) Tea with 4/5 biscuits & these biscuits have appx. 3.16gm Carb each, in total 16gms carb plus I don't know what this Tea is contributing.

2. After 4.5 hrs, appx around noon, I have my Lunch. I take 3 Indian Bread (Chapaties) made out if whole grain specially made diabetic friendly. These have appx. 80 Calories each & appx. 16gm Carb. In total I consume 226 Calories which includes 50 gm Carb. I am unable to tell how much Calories/Carb intake is there with vegetables. Of course I am not is I ng starchy/carb rich vegetables.

3. After 4.5 hrs, appx around 4pm, One Cup(250ml) Tea along with 4/5 biscuits. 16gms carb plus Tea's contribution.

4. After 4.5hrs, around 8.30pm, I take dinner. Two Chap a times amounting to 160 calories which includes 35gm of carb.

After one hour of consumption, I retire to bed.
