My visit to the nurse

Yesterday I had the six monthly review with my nurse. I was looking forward to it since I had got a print out of the blood test results beforehand and my Hba1c was 42. This gives you a good feeling when you go for the chat. "Brilliant control" she said and I thanked her. While I am on the subject I also give my thanks to all the contributing members of this board from where I have learned much.

The last time I saw her she used the phrase, "What with all the feedback you get". I asked, "What feedback?", and she couldn't answer me. This time I was handed a file to keep which has all my details, my results, my history and my medication listed in it. Sorry for all you people out there who have to fight for this sort of thing.

She took a great interest in what I had been eating and the things I discovered and also agreed to me stopping and starting medication to see if I could manage without it. She would not take the test strips off ration though.

All in all it went quite well.

Am pleased all went so positive with your 6monthly reveiw.
You were proactive with your prep work , and with being so well
prepped and organised she has responded positively to you.
Was prepared to listen to your chosen eating plan and things you had discovered
in your own journey .
Maybe this is a great point here - if prepped/organised well ahead of
any appointment would more HCP's be as positive as yours was with you.
Some thing to chew over maybe :?:

It does help to hear as it can/will help other members here on the forum.
It's also so nice to hear when the forums help and support has contributed to
a member's progress... :thumbup:
