Names to never call your kid

Yeah my dad told me that one.. He thought it was hilarious..
I think it was probably my grandad! Others from him were How Hi (is a Chinaman), and Is-a-bell Necessary (on a bicycle) and my all time favourite as a very little girl - swear words that weren't:
I chased a bug around a hill,
I'll have his blood, he knows I will...
(Not to be said when Mummy or Grandma were around though...)

But he also taught me a whole lot of useful stuff as well!

Having what my mum used to call a daft halt hour:

Ken Tuckifride
and his mate
Fynn Gerlicken-Goode

and their negative little friend

May B Knott

GeraldFitzpatric and PatricFitzgerald was also trotted out when I was a schoolboy.

Pip Emma ( as in p.m. = afternoon; used in signals to clarify letters used in signals etc. But also on radio when announcing the time during WW2, which is where I heard it regularly as a very tiny child and decided it was a great name for one of my - at that time very few - dolls!)

Ailsa Craig

Ailsa (IMO) is a pretty name, but Ailsa Craig is a great lump:
