I have just read in today's Daily Mirror that the antioxidant Naringenin found naturaly in grapefruit is according to research by Israeli scientist Yaakov Nahmias 'remarkable' in doing the same job as two drugs used to treat type 2 Diabetes. It works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin and also helps to keep a healthy weight
Before I start eating Grapefruit for breakfast I have to find another drug to keep my high cholesterol down as Simvastatin which I am on carries a specific warning not to drink Grapefruit juice!
My question is does anyone know of an alternative to Simvastatin so I can give this a try?
Thanks
Ray

There are quite a few alternatives to Simvastatin. You'll have to ask your doctor. I think they all cost more and some others might also be contraindicated with grapefruit.
