I'm currently just finishing week 3 and realistically will probably stay on the ND for 12 or 13 weeks. At the start I thought I'd do 8 weeks and then move to low carb, but realistically I'll need at least another month or so to hit a BMI of less than 25. My concern is that after week 8, I've got a night away that I cant avoid and will involve an evening meal, breakfast etc that will be outside the ND rules. I'll be able to make decent choices so I can eat reasonably sensible things and avoid alcohol, but even so 800cals will be impossible for a couple of days. Its an important occasion, so avoiding or not participating isnt an option. Question is, how big a problem is this going to cause for the diets effectiveness? (beyond needing to add a few days on the other end to make up for the extra calories)
