Hey everyone I'm just wondering if anyone suffers with this problem I have now had it for 6+ years and starting to get very self-conscious it affects me wearing close clothes and I was wondering if anyone has got it do they have any tips for coverage I also have this on my foot is not as bad and it doesn't bother me as much but I find going out in public wearing shorts or even a dress that is shorter very hard to do. I can't wear tights because it just shows Thro it's starting to really get me down I have seen A dermatologist and have been referred to changing faces but still waiting to hear back so just after a bit of advice on how to cover upImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1443747328.932960.jpg

I had to go and google that as I have never heard of it but then, I am new to all of this and I am sure someone else who knows more about it will come along.

I just wanted to say that I too have a condition which makes me self-conscious - I have quite severe lymphoedema in my arm following a mastectomy for breast cancer a few years ago.But you know. more often than not people don't notice or if they do, they assume I have broken my arm because of the heavy compression sleeve I wear. I often just say, yes, I broke it skiing! The way I see it, my conditions are taking enough out of my life - I don't want them to take over. I will still go out and display my arm, and not care who is looking. I'm a survivor - as you are - and we should wear out battle scars with pride.

I hope you do get some help with it but in the meantime, don't let it take the joy out of your life.

Hi Sally i see you have seen the other posts where we have been discussing our necrobiosis, i did go somewhere to get some make up to try and cover it, whilst it was quite good, it took a long time to apply and in the end i decided i couldn't be bothered to spend ages covering it up when i had other things to be doing, most people just think its some type of birth mark. Hope you get to see someone soon to see if the make up works for you x
