Need friends who can understand! Type 1.

I already want to help others, but don't know what's going on.

I hope in 6 months time I'm a good position to help and guide people through such a spell as I've had a couple of terrible years and now this.

I don't want time off I love my job and it's keeps me going,... I just don't no how to control what to eat when... I'm 17 stone and use a lot of weights and I'm in good shape I feel but this is knocking me back and I'm lasting 40 mins max in the gym.

When I'm working I'm with customers and I feel I can't even here hem understand them as I'm daydreaming and heads a mess. Is this normal.?

Seriously...it's still very early days...you're only a few days in...be kind to yourself...give yourself time...it's the very best healer.

I/we can't guide you on what to eat at the minute because I would imagine having been recently diagnosed that you will be on standard dosage involving set amount of carbs per meal...standard NHS stuff...once you've done DAFNE you will be better placed to play around with your diet and consider other options.

Can I ask about your diagnosis? Did you have all the usual symptoms leading up to it?

Yer had a lot of symptoms.

Course in 2 weeks. I've felt terrible for a few months now just diagnosed.

I've been in hospital everyday this week for checks etc to c where I'm at with it all x

Diagnosis can take some time in some situations...mine took months and involved losing a whole lot of weight and feeling like death warmed up for what seemed like years...once stabilised...as hard as it is to believe right now...you'll feel amazing...keep with it

Ok hanks so much for your help.

This had already made me feel a little positive tonight. Which I haven't for a long time x

Good that you seeing hospital daily.

You don't want your levels to come down to quick as tjis can affect your eyesight.. Your eyes will have changed whilst levels are higher (you may have noticed say blurred writing on tv)... It sounds as if you got progressive help with your hospital..the course will help you... It takes a while to get used to but you do sound as if you care about others alot with their health and fitness and indeed yourself... I am sure you will find that your experience and your progress etc will be of a great, huge understanding soon.
It is overwheming at first... Be gentle on yourself.
You will learn from this rollercoaster of feelings and emtions etc and I feel sure that you will use it positively in the future...

Today I feel mentally stronger knowing there is people who understand

I've trained eaten well and felt good and now suddenly felt so tired and shattered!

Glad you're feeling better...and well done for getting up and getting on with it.
If your BG is still high...it will make you feel quite drained...once you have your BG under control you'll be amazed at the difference in how you feel. Keep going...you're doing fine and you'll get there
