Ok how to put this deilcately
I started with sickness and diaoriah (excuse spelling) last night, spent best part of the night in agony with tummy pains. up very early this morning still vomitting and ***.

checked my blood sugar levels at 8am, wasn't bad 6.2. only drunk boiled water all morning. had 1/4 cup of tea at 11.30am was sick as a dog.

went for a sleep managed to sleep couple of hours, checked blood again at 2pm down to 4.7.
so here's my question, I can't eat for obvious reasons, it'll come out one end or the other in 2 mins flat, same with drinks although I can manage to keep the boiled water down.

If my bgs goes much lower and I have a hypo what do I do?

Thanks vonbon

Lucozade has saved me when I've been in your situation.

As you're a T2 being treated by diet only, you probably wont suffer a hypo. Keep on with the frequent water until you feel like eating and then try little at a time until it follows the correct route through without rushing. If you have a temperature its most probably a virus so keep warm and hydrated until it passes.

While taking pills on prescription I got a side effect like gastro enteritis. It sounds a lot like what you are experiencing. I could only take nothing or plain water for it. I wish now that I had remembered where I had hidden the Lucozade as suggested above. I feel sure it would have helped.

Thanks for your replies. pleased to hear I won't have hypo's was getting worried.
