I have taken matfourmin for 4 weeks, 1 after breakfast and 1 after dinner.
During these days my blood sugar at morning level was recorded between 6.0 mmol to 7.2 mmol despite diabetes nurse said I don't need to do that at home anymore.

Could anyone please advising it's that 6.0 to 7.2 mmol are ideal figure.

There are variables in play here many diabetics will have a liver dump in the morning (dawn phenomenon) which increases the bg to prepare the body for waking and getting active

Se generally if you are going to do a fasting level about 30 minutes after getting up but still pre eating might give different results

I good indicator of improvement can be pre lunch

Having said that 6 to 7 is not bad.. it’s a case of what happening through the day though.. you could be going to bed on 22 and still get 6-7 in the morning

A non diabetic fasting will typically be 4.0 to 5.4

Nurses will always say you don’t need to test.. however it’s the only way you can see if there is improvement.. or whether certain meal types are causing issue

Good diet.. ie reducing carbs will be much more beneficial than the metformin

I am now in the pre-diabetic range in the a.m. almost every morning, but seem like something is blocking me from getting down into our good range. I had a 121 mg/dl this a.m. (6.7) all my typical foods, same foods I ate the day before I got a 108 mg/dl (6.0). I can't seem to get my fasting amount to drop below the 100 mg/dl

I can't advise anything since I am stuck as well, but reading this forum as well as checking and reading the links people share, has been more help to me then my overwhelmed doctors.

@searley I agree with you on the diet since I was just too sick the first 2 weeks on Metformin to take it any longer, and I was already eating very low carb so I was truly getting my diet in order. There's either no way my body is willing to get to normal, or just more time eating right. I'll just figure it's the latter because 68 years of eating wrong, and never being told I was pre-diabetic at least 3 years ago (back before I knew how to look up my own labs), it's going to take more than a month to change things. I felt I had been doing good for so long until I looked back at my food and blood glucose diary, just over a month now, well, about 6 weeks. So things are coming together but for me, diet and exercise is the key.

I'd be fairly upset if my readings were there.. I like to below 6 mol/l at all times and around 5 most of the time.

Keep on monitoring.. your nurse is an idiot.

You don't drive without looking at the speedometer.
