hey I have a weird situation here with fast-acting insulin (Apidra) as it normally has an onset of action about 15min to start working peak time is about 1 hour but it has a weird behavior with me I inject it always 15 min before a meal but after 2h either I get hypo or most of the time it stays high sometimes it goes up to 350 mg/dl and stay like that and it won't go down so I need to inject a correction dose but when I do I got hypo even if i take as little as 2 ui for that 350mg / dl ( I'm good with carb counting my basal is not the issue no stress) just weird fast-acting insulin behavior
so I conclude that its either my needle is too short I'm using 4mm or Apidra doesn't work with me
my question is does the needle can be the problem causing the insulin to be absorbed incorrectly
do I need a skin fold for a 5 mm needle?
if that doesn't work what fast-acting insulin pen do u recommend guys
and thanks in advance
