My doctor used to prescribe Gluco RX Finepoint needles but has changed to Gluco RX Care Point, presumably on cost grounds. I find that these needles often cause bruising, has anyone else had experience of this type of needle. Tom

Hi Lucy - I don't have experience of those needles, or any others, however, thre have been several threads over the months and years about changes to meters/lancets/needles. By and large, posters who have been unhappy with the changes have had the issue resolved by explaining to their surgery why they don't get on with the alternative equipment.

Sounds like a quick call into the surgery would be helpful. You might need to see a Doctor, or alternatively have atelephone consultation?

I hope you can get things resolved.

Yes - they're awful!

Hi @lucy1942 .......
I had this problem a couple of years ago and after struggling with the Gluco RX needles for 2 weeks and getting covered in bruises from bust to knee-caps I went to the surgery and asked to show the DSN said bruises, she reluctantly came out to view them and after showing her my method of injecting, which was just the same as she had shown me many years before, she quickly got the practice manager to replace them with my usual Novo-Fine needles,........a pain having to go show the bruises I grant you but less than the pain of those *******needles.
