Its worth asking to be changed back to your original needles, normally its the practice manager who tells the DN and GP which needles the local CCG have recommended as best value and to prescribe them if they can get away with it, but normally the CCG have given the last say on the decision to the GP or DN if an appeal or report is made by the patient on the grounds of pain, discomfort and or bruising caused by the new needles as they are fully aware that some of these cheaper needles are worse than useless but choose to ignore it until they get a complaint.
