Sorry for yet again another post.....I am using 5mm needles but I near enough always bruise with them, would I be better off with 4mm??

Nope I don't and I never bruised when on the pump either and they was a 6mm it's confusing me!Do you bruise easily anyway? Could you simply be pushing too hard ? Why not ask to try the 4mm needles if you think it will make a difference?

I am using BD at the moment that's all I have ever used!What make of needle have they given you - GlucoRX Finepoint? Some people don't like these, although I use them and don't have a problem myself. Some people have been switched over from BD Micro-Fine as GP surgeries try to save money.
I will have to give that ago i completely forgot to ask her as I had so much to ask but it went really well really happy now@ohitsnicola I used BD for years then randomly started bruising for no reason at all (my stomach is covered in red marks now!!) So I asked my nurse to let me 'experiment' with different needles and found that 'MyLife' penfine needles are just as good as BD & NO bruises!
I hadnt actually heard of those needles before & still dont know anyone that uses them but might be worth a shot.
How did you get on with the new nurse??

Only keeping it in my head I am treating myself to a new pair of boots if my HbA1C is better than last time lol

I am sooo happy, for the 1st time in my entire life, it was only 43.It was 120 in May when I decided to become a good kid again so major happy.
Gutted though coz the boots I wanted werent available in my sizeHubby bought me a bike instead though

my lowest ever one was 58 and then it went back up to 83 *sigh* xxLOTS of stress, help from people on here & the thought of 'do or die'. Quite shocked that its as low as that. Dr was in shock when she read itxx
Oh my god seriously?? Well you have done incredibly well then!! Did you get a telling off for not going clinic?? XxI never even used to care about mine, May was the 1st time I've been to clinic since I was 14 lol xx
That's really good that you have had a good experience hopefully that stays that way lol good luckNah, 1st time I went we were speaking about splitting my lantus, they told me not to, my nurse phoned me a week later & asked how I was getting on after splitting it, I was surprised at her but she said she remembered seeing me in hospital & knew I would only ask about something after I had done it lol. Xx
