Nerve damage

Diabetic neuropathy is most commonly (at least initially) found in your feet, though that doesn't mean you haven't got it. A lot of hand symptoms can be caused by carpal tunnel syndrome so I'd want to make sure that your doctor has ruled that out.

But, diabetic neuropathy (if that's what it is) is caused by long periods of too high blood sugars. Do you know how well controlled your T2 is? Can you improve your blood sugar levels? (This should at least slow the progression of neuropathy, and may also improve it.)

What was 63?

Hba1c level ?

I'm thinking hba1c, 7.9 in % terms. That's higher than I'd be willing to run at, but I'm pretty sure I'll have run at levels that high in the past (49 years T1 here, no significant complications yet). If it's neuropathy I'd recommend lowering blood sugars, if it's carpal tunnel then other treatments are relevant...
