Hi I'm a T2 diabetic 20 years plus . . . On Insulin. Have to admit I didn't look after myself properly when first diagnosed and my compliance with meds. was patchy. Now I'm paying the price. I have the same condition, bi-lateral diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia. My feet hurt like hell, especially at night. My Pain Clinic prescribe me with Duloxotine 60mgs twice daily (max dose) and Tramadol 400mgs per day (again max dose) plus Amitriptline 4 times daily. Does it help ? No, I don't think so. I take the max dose for each medication but no noticeable reduction in pain. I am going to start taking AHA and see if this makes any difference. My Consultant tells me the nerve damage is irreversible, but to stop it getting worse, only 1 way - keep blood sugar levels in check. I am now experiencing tingling in my finger-tips of both hands. Referred to a Neurologist - outcome: Peripheral Nuropathy of course !! If you find the holy grail of pain relief, please let me know :joyful: Good Luck
