Hello, how can you help with Neuropathy of the lower legs and hands?? I get really bad pains in my both of my legs, from the knees down, sometimes to the point when laying down almost in tears, also i get pins and needles down the outside of my hands, I was taken a load of tablets but having bad side affects from almost all, so have been taken off a few weeks back now, so was taken amitriptyline, amlodipine, metformin and rosovastatin, I know for a fact that Im bad on statins any way, at present I'm only taking Ramipril and even that gives me a bad cough with is slowly getting worse, But if you may have ant advise to my feet and hands would be great, thanks Alan

Hi @alanmilton ,

Welcome to the forums.

Mild neuropathy may be reversible with tight control of blood glucose but once nerve damage occurs (then as far I know) there isn't much that can be done about it apart from trying to manage the pain.

This page is probably worth a read.......
http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes-complications/sensory-neuropathy.html

And there are links to more information from that page......

Hope you see some improvement, but how are your blood sugars at the mo' ?
