i suffer very bad with periphial neuropathy in my legs and arms etc im on morphine now and im unable to work through it but now the incapacity benefit people hav send they need me to go for an independent medical to see if i can work i had never been out of work in my life till this happened and gradually got worse , i was wondering if anyone else has had to go for a medical , surely if your doctor says and a specialist that i cant work there word should be truth

i havent personally been through that but a friends mother has and he medical comes to you and will assess you and you have to fill in some forms then they make a decision... if they rule against you, you can appeal and 95% ofcases are then approved, good luck! if you have worked all your life and now are unable to to this you more than deserve incapacity and i hop eyou get it

Hi lesdav15

This is yet another attempt by the goverment to save money. by cutting down on the amount of people claiming incapacity benefit, which if I am not mistaken will be done away with soon.
I have been disabled since having to leave the Army and was sent to a medical tribunal last year to evaluate my condition.
Thankfully I got an understanding doctor there who as soon as he saw my reports asked me why I had been sent there in the first place.

Tehy ask how you are, how the illness is affecting you and so on.

I'll be getting a visit from these wonderful people soon been off since September firstly collapsing and being diagnosed and now with severe neuropathy and muscle loss. I've worked since leaving school and am going mad being stuck at home. Hope I get a nice doc my luck I'll get Dr Frankenstein
