There is one, pompous idiots that think Diabetes is contagious...
Hey all, I'm new to all this forum stuff so bare with me, has anyone else seen the sensor blood glucose meter, a little sensor pad, size of a 10p, on your arm, you scan it with the tester and it tells you your levels, this isn't currently on the NHS, for one sensor pad it's £48 which only lasts 2 weeks so £96 a month plus £148 or around that for the meter. Has anyone on here tried it?? I can't afford it but would like to know how anyone has got on with them, I understand they are expensive but just think how much money the government would actually save, I mean how many diabetics struggle with finger pricking, I definitely do, many more people would be able to cope better with these sensors pads, control better, less complications, less money spent on surgeries to fix complications caused by poor control caused by not wanting to finger prick!!

Hi Melodie

A few of us here have been using them since last October.

They are not taking new customers at the moment though, and there are a few teething problems.

There's a whole thread about them here is you fancy a bit of light reading ;)

Hey, thanks for replying. Yea I heard about customers etc, just wondered if anyone had tried it on here, have you found it beneficial? My nurse said its had problems, it's certainly an expensive device aye, I'll check the 'light read' out :)
