I was diagnosed with T2 in 2003, no real problems for first few years and kept to the NHS recommended diet, high carbs etc. My HBA1C was steady at around 6.5. In the last two years it has steadily crept up and peaked at 8.3. It was at this point I thought to investigate more off my own back. Started the low carb diet 3 months ago and just had my HBA1C...6.4, very pleased. Can I assume that if I carry on with the diet then my HBA1C should fall further, I would like to get below six and nearer five if possible.

Many thanks

I too was diagnosed in 2003 and have reduced my medication and HbA1c by low carbing.
