I have had a lot of contact with test and trace recently as my household all have covid. The first person is likely to have contracted it at school. She was sharing a bedroom with the next child who tested positive and so on. It is extremely contagious. We have relatives staying with us whilst divorce ongoing so are overcrowded. Test and Trace have been very thorough. They wanted to know how the children travelled to school. None of us have developed complications, one is pretty much asymptomatic. We are monitoring this day by day. The vast majority of people have a mild illness. Test and Trace want to know where you have been in the 48 hours prior to becoming symptomatic to work out where you may have spread it. Additionally you'll be asked where you've been in the days prior to that in order to work out where you may have picked it up from. It took 12 days between the first and last becoming symptomatic in our home. I have read about people who need to shield moving out as soon as a member of their family gets symptoms. I am sure that the bus question would have been asked. There have been outbreaks in both of my children's schools and both were in 6th forms. I wish you and your family well.
