Gerresheimer Medical Plastic Systems says it has developed a new generation of lancing devices for blood sugar measurement.

I think it could be very expensive so would be doubtful that the NHS will be prescribing it for a considerable time.

Good idea, but I still think I would rather have a sensor in my mobile phone that could read my BG. Then just a separate lancing device.
