From Glasgow live in SoCal.
Diagnosed at Type 2, A1c 6.8, 12 years ago. No physical symptoms.
Ignored it to my peril. Dear wife pointed out that we pay for insurance. And urged me.
Finally, present day mid 60's went to a, brilliant, specialist, endocrinologist.
A1c was 12.8.
Now on a cocktail of Met, Jardiance, Mounjaro.
30Ibs lighter.
All my blood analysis numbers are in the green.
Cholesterol perfect.
Liver, kidney numbers perfect.
Blood pressure optimal.
A1c 6.5 and dropping.
Doc didn't require me to significantly change diet. Generally substantial meal at 11.00 am and soup for dinner.
Eat what we want but practice portion control.
The weekly Mounjaro injection is trivial.
As is Repatha for cholestorol.
As many have a fear of insulin injections my Doc let me try them for a week. Like being brushed by a feather.
I never finger prick. Ever. New Dexcom sensors, last 15 days.
Precalibrated. Worked great with iphone. Like a game.
Just saying Hi and looking forward to a long healthy life.
