Hey,

Can someone tell me how to convert the hba1c percentages into the new figures?

also when are they starting to use these in clinics and GP's?

i tried looking at google but it keeps throwing Mmol to Mg... argghhh.

Thanks

Here is one that Ken made a while ago. To get the in between numbers just add 1.2 to the right hand column numbers for each point in mmol/l. example: 4.2 mmol/l add 2.4 = 22.4 mmol/mol. Simples !

Most Lab's now put both figures (HbA1c and IFCC HbA1c) on the printout of your results so you should know both numbers now.

That's the quick reference chart......If you have a Calculator handy......then there is this conversion formula as well from the Diabetes Medication and Drugs Section which is a 'sticky.'
