New here and Scared

Thank you for the strawberry idea with cream. Sounds great
Make sure you only have about 3 or 4 strawberries though - I could happily eat a whole punnet if I wasn't so self-disciplined (!).....but after a time on LCHF, you will find your desire for sweet things should massively reduce, so 3 strawberries is actually enough.

Thanks for the suggestion...I love strawberries

We have a couple of things in common. First is the diagnosis in December 2016. Second is the coldness. It seems its not common because I asked exactly the same and didn't find much in the way of people who'd experienced it. As seems to be common as well as being T2 I also have high Blood Pressure. So I'm on medication for that as well as diabetes. Since changing to low carb and taking the BP and BG medication, I have been generally colder, but particularly hands and feet. I used to be that person in the office who was always too hot when most other people were complaining how cold it was. I haven't figured out what the cause of the change is, but its not as severe or uncomfortable now. That could be just the weather of course. I can't really help much except to say, it's not just you.

I've been eating a fair amount of fat along with low carbing - and I feel warm most of the time.
I ate chicken thighs for dinner and now feel very cosy indeed despite following them up with frozen berries and cream.

Thank you so much for the tips
