Hi new here (which tbh is obvious).
I had a heart attack Wednesday and stents installed.
During my initial heart attack stat checks, my blood sugar levels were 22
there then have dropped to 11-12
Have not had any previous symptoms and my last check up in 2023 did not flag anything.
I now have to juggle diet, exercise for both the healthy Heart side and my diabetes.
The heart side is fairly straightforward, however I can see the diabetes side being more of a fun problematic thing to manage.
I have read through bits of the forum and looks to be some really useful advice.
Still have to have my chat with doctor and diabetes support, as I was discharged Saturda.
Welcome.
Yes have a read around then ask your questions. There will probably be conflicts of advice between both conditions.
Have you been supplied with a monitor to prick your finger and check your bg?
Have a read around and ask questions. While we can't give advice there is a lot of experience here. There are also a lot of amazing people who are willing to try and help.
If you haven't been supplied with a monitor I highly recommend that you get one. It will be really helpful as you try to manage everything.

I have not yet recieved a monitor, I first have to get my doctors to book me in with their Diabetes section and then be diagnosed, at present it’s simply from the hospital. At present I am managing my diet from a diabetes point of view, which makes for a fun tescos shop lol.
