New injection being approved

Hi, when I recently went to my diabetes consultant for a check up he was, as usual, on my back about weight, and yes I know I need to lose quite a lot but just find it so difficult. He suggested oralistat pills but said if these didn't work then when I go back he thinks there will be a new injectable drug for diabetics which would also help with weight loss that would be approved by then, I can't take mime tics due to a history of pancreatitis so any idea what it is he was on about?

Got to wait till July 30th to find out anymore, that's when I next see my consultant. In the meantime I'm thinking of trying low carb again!
