Hello,
I have just been given some new medication: Forxiga 10mg dapagliflozin.. Just one a day I have been taking it for just a week and can't make up my mind if it is working for me. I am feeling very hungry all the time and a bit wobbly, My reading is 8&9 Also my nurse said I could loose weight. ( I am not much over weight) I am to go to see her in 6 weeks time.
Just wondered if any one else on this pill.
Thanks

I've been on it 6 months as a replacement for gliclazide which caused me to gain weight. the Forxiga seems to be working my last aC1 was 7.9 down from 8.6. My main advise would be to make sure you drink plenty (at least 2 litres a day I tend to aim for between 3 and 4). You'll feel like you're running to the loo all the time to start with, but as your body gets used to the higher hydration levels this will drop off. I didn't really have any hunger problems, but I take it in combination with Metformin and Janumet so this could be a reason why. If your readings are coming down quite quickly your body could be giving you false hypo symtoms as it's used to running at higher BG levels and the wobblyness should go as it gets used to "normal" BG levels.

Thank you, My readings aren't coming down at all. I have been taking Forgixa for a week now, as was hoping to see an improvement. I think I shall start and take it in an evening. It does say on the packet that you can take it without food, just water.
