hello, just officially joined, but have been browsing for two or three years.
Diagnosed type 2 about 5 years, but had it for at least ten years before diagnoses, so have some of the complications. reasonably well controlled with diet and glicazide plus medication for kidneys and blood pressure, half a doz: more which I wont bore you with, still enjoy life, and still learning more all the time. To me it was a great relief to get a diagnoses.

p.s. I am a 68 year old grandmother, with a great husband (most of the time) and a lovely family.
